NICE recommends VeriQ for routine clinical use

NICE has published medical technology guidance on the VeriQ system for assessing graft flow during coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG).


Intraoperative use of VeriQThe NICE organization has, after thorough evaluation of clinical as well as economical data, recommend to the British health system (NHS) to implement routine flow measurements with Medistim’s VeriQ system during coronary bypass surgery (CABG). NICE argues that such implementation will provide not only improved health outcomes for the patients, but economic savings for the healthcare system. The economic saving is calculated to be £115 per patient, equal to about $182 or €134.
