Transplant surgery
Adequate graft perfusion is crucial for the success of a liver or kidney transplant. An intraoperative flow measurement provides essential information about the technical quality of the vascular anastomosis and detects problems such as anastomotic strictures, twisting, kinking or coiling of the vessel or flow restrictions due to thrombosis formation. It also gives valuable information about the need for, and guidance during, inflow modulation in liver transplant.
